ABOUT THE BUILDING The Building for Transformative Medicine at 60 Fenwood Road is a hub for state-of-the-art outpatient clinical care, advanced imaging facilities and research space. It is home to researchers and clinicians from across many disciplines who share a vision for collaboration and for the acceleration and translation of laboratory discoveries into rapid and novel treatments for patients. It also is a new home for the Neurosciences Center and the Orthopaedic and Arthritis Center of Excellence.
Enhancing Care for Patients and Families
Advancing patient care is our first priority, and has been the guiding principle in designing the Building for Transformative Medicine. The environment is designed to make the outpatient care experience as efficient and comfortable as possible for patients and their families.
Neurosciences Center: Neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, and neuroradiology programs will provide an integrated experience for our patients, many of whom will see a team of clinicians across these disciplines for their outpatient care.
Orthopaedic and Arthritis Center: Collaborative orthopedic surgery, podiatry, rheumatology, allergy, and outpatient imaging services.
State-of-the-art imaging: An unmatched fleet of medical imaging tools will help us to provide precise and personalized diagnoses and treatments and to advance research. In 2017, the suite also will include a new-generation 7.0 Tesla MRI, which offers higher resolution than even the most powerful clinical MRI scanner now in use.
An infusion suite will be available for a wide range of diseases.
A phlebotomy clinic will serve clinical and research needs.
Comfort: The environmentally friendly building features bright, open spaces and amenities that promote our goal of making care as comfortable as possible for patients and their families.
By bringing together our full array of neuroscience and musculoskeletal investigators and caregivers in one location, we aim to accelerate the translation of research into advances in the precision and personalization of patient care. Our eight floors of research include:
Conference space for investigators to meet and share discoveries
Integration of research with clinical care
Musculoskeletal Translational Research
Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal Regenerative Medicine
