To support faculty in their academic advancement at Harvard Medical School the Center offers programmatic and consultative resources:
The Center, in collaboration with the Brigham and Women’s Physicians’ Council and Harvard Medical School offers an annual series of Demystifying Promotions Seminars.
Independent Consultation: Dr. Mary Clark, former Associate Dean at HMS and current Consultant on Faculty Development to Brigham and Women's Hospital, is available by appointment to meet with faculty around issues of academic career development. Faculty who believe they are ready for promotion are encouraged to meet with Dr. Clark. Dr. Clark is on site the 3rd Wednesday and 1st Thursday of each month.

Academic Advancement at HMS: In 2008 Harvard Medical School adopted new criteria for faculty appointment and promotion. These revised criteria recognize the broad range of faculty activities that support the academic mission.
