The Division promotes the active participation and professional development of faculty and staff with interests in international health and humanitarian assistance. Additionally, the Division serves as the conduit for collaborative relationships between the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative and Harvard Affiliated Medical Institutions.
The Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI)
HHI is the humanitarian outreach of Harvard University. HHI coordinates humanitarian programs for the Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Public Health, Radcliffe Institute, Harvard Business School, Kennedy School of Government and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
The Institute for International Emergency Medicine and Health (IEMH)
IEMH is a major engine of international programs within the Division and the BWH Department of Emergency Medicine.
The Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency Program
HAEMR coordinates residency training for the Department of Emergency Medicine in the Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Massachusetts General Hospital.
Harvard Medical International (HMI)
Harvard Medical International is the coordinating organization for all international health programming for the Harvard medical institutions. The Division supports HMI programs and efforts related to international emergency.
The Division of Social Medicine and Health Inequalities, Department of Medicine
DSMHI is a progressive program that establishes a multidisciplinary model for addressing medical issues in some of the world's poorest countries.
