Contact Dermatitis and Occupational Dermatology Program

The Contact Dermatitis and Occupational Dermatology Program offers a type of non-invasive skin evaluation, called patch testing. to identify allergens to which people are allergic. These allergens may be present in a variety of sources, such as soaps, shampoos, moisturizers, topical medications, jewelry, and textiles. Based on the patch testing results, a customized plan for allergen avoidance will be created for each patient. Many patients are cured from their rashes after contact allergens are identified and avoided.
