Training Programs

Training and education are important components of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Service at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Our service has one of the country’s most outstanding programs in the subspecialty of cardiac rhythm disturbances. Under the supervision of our attending physicians, each trainee is prepared for a career in cardiac electrophysiology.

We offer two training programs:

• The Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Training Program is a one-year, accredited program that provides detailed instruction in and expertise with specific aspects of arrhythmia management, as well as research training.
• The Advanced Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Program is designed for fellows who wish to concentrate in a specific area of research or clinical skill, such as device implantation, lead extraction or catheter ablation.

We also offer a continuing education program that provides information to keep physicians up-to-date on the latest innovations in arrhythmia research and treatment.
