Heart Healthy Living is an intensive 6-week nutrition and physical activity intervention for African-American women, which not only provides the tools to improve cardiovascular health through diet and exercise but also identifies and addresses the unique mental, emotional and physical components that affect the health and lifestyle choices of each individual participant. During this 6-week program, women attend one group session each week lasting 1.5 hours, where they engage in weigh-ins, group discussions, interactive activities, information sessions, individual coaching, and exercise programs. Classes will be facilitated by our Nurse Practitioner, Aileen Sauris, NP and Community Outreach Coordinator, Patricia Timmons, M.Ed. Note: Registration fee: $20.00.
To register, please complete our registration form and return to pctimmons@partners.org or mail to BWH Cardiovascular Wellness Service, Attn: Patricia Timmons, 801 Massachusetts Ave, 7th floor, Boston, MA, 02118.
