Department of Neurosurgery
The Department of Neurosurgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital provides evaluation and care for patients with epilepsy, movement disorders (such as Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, and dystonia) and some psychiatric disorders. These disorders affect millions of people, and our surgeons aim to help patients feel better by using the most appropriate and up-to-date treatment methods available. Patients who are candidates for surgical treatment are cared for by a multidisciplinary team that may include dedicated neurosurgeons, neurologists, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, social workers, physician assistants and nurse specialists.
