Pre-Employment Training
There are many ways to enter the healthcare industry. One excellent resource is the Partners in Career and Workforce Development Pre-Employment Training Program, a five-week job readiness training program for people who are interested in entry-level positions at Partners. This unpaid program combines classroom training in workplace skills with internships in the Partners Health System system. For more information click here
Another approach for getting into the healthcare industry involves more education and/or training. This might be more formal education, like at a Community College. It might also be through one of the many training vendors that are located throughout the city. These training institutions offer shorter, non-credit programs that assist job-seekers with basic training, job search assistance, case management and more. For some qualified individuals, the trainings might even be FREE! For assistance with finding a training program that is right for you, please contact one of the state’s One-Stop Career Centers.
