I work at Brigham and Women’s Physicians Organization (BWPO). Is there a different HR department? If so, how do I contact this office?
Yes, the BWPO does have a separate staff dedicated to providing HR services. The main telephone number is: 617-582-1210. The fax number is: 617-582-1299. They are located at 111 Cypress Street.
The office is located on the corner of Cypress Street and Route 9 in Brookline. This is easily accessible via public transportation by taking the D line to the Brookline Hills stop.
There is a shuttle service that runs from the hospital about every 30 minutes to this site. From the hospital you may take the 10 BPW shuttle or the 111 Cypress Street Shuttle. For exact times, you may find the shuttle schedule by accessing this link: http://www.partners.org/ourhosp/ourhosp_shuttle.html
TRANSFERS
I am currently an employee at BWH or another Partners affiliate. How do I apply for opportunities I see posted at BWH?

When it asks you if you are a current or former employee of Partners, choose yes. You can follow up on your application by calling the main number in HR at 617-582-0100.
How long do I have to wait until I can transfer into another position?
You need to be in your existing position for 6 months and must be in good standing in order to transfer.
Will I be required to interview for the desired position?
Yes, you will be required to interview for the desired position.
Do I need to tell my supervisor I am looking for another position?
No, our employees reserve the right to look confidentially. Once a position has been offered to you, you will need to notify your supervisor at that time and give the appropriate notice.
Will my salary and/or review date change?
Salary and review date changes will all depend on what type of position you are transferring in to, whether or not it is considered a promotion or lateral move, and when this is taking place. Depending on what type of transfer is taking place, and in conjunction to where your current review date falls, may determine if your review date will change at all.
** Please note that all new non-MNA positions within the hospital carry the standard 90-day probationary period. **
If I currently work 40hrs/week can I pick up a part time job?
Most departments may shy away from hiring an existing 40hr/week employee into a part time position only because they would be paying the employee over time for a position that they normally would not be required to. In these types of situations we encourage employees to explore opportunities at some of the other Partner’s affiliates: Mass General Hospital, Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Faulkner Hospital, North Shore Medical Center, McLean Hospital, PCHI, Partners Home Care, or Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
I work a per-diem schedule, am I eligible for a T-pass?
Yes, but because your schedule fluctuates, we cannot deduct the cost of the pass from your paycheck. You will need to purchase a pass through the parking office. Contact the parking office at 617-732-5877 for more information.
I am working as a temporary employee for the summer, am I eligible for a T-pass?
