Result Reporting & Retrieval

Once samples are tested and the assay approved by the lab manager, the results are entered into our Freezerworks database. Investigators and coordinators can look up any results stored in Freezerworks using any device by visiting the web portal: http://brac.partners.org. These results can then be printed or exported to the user's computer, but in order to download the results to excel MS Office 2010 or newer is required.

If you are a new user who needs access to results, send us an email at freezerworks@partners.org. We need to know your email address, and which study or studies you need access to. If you have previously accessed results using FROST, send us an email so we can set you up with web access.

Once samples have been run, and a result entered into Freezerworks, investigators should arrange to pick up (or notify lab staff to discard) their samples. The invoice for sample testing will serve as a notification of completion.  If samples are not picked up or discarded after one month from the date of invoice, the samples will be moved to long term storage, and the investigator charged accordingly. See our Sample Storage Policy

Storage Services

In addition to sample testing, the BRAC offers freezer storage. The storage charges are based on several factors, such as sample type, length of storage, and number of samples. Contact the lab for more info on sample storage.
