Welcome winter and celebrate the holiday season by decorating your office with creative, diverse and original decorations. Judges will view departments the week of Dec. 28 and award first, second and third place winners. To enter, e-mail email@example.com by Dec. 18 with contact name, telephone number, department name and location, names of participants and theme of your decorations.
Guidelines for Holiday Decorations:
Employees are reminded to keep safety in mind when decorating their office or work areas.
No combustible decorations are used at the hospital.
Live Christmas trees or other natural decorations (wreaths, holly, laurel rope, etc.) are not allowed.
All decoration materials such as cotton, paper, crepe paper and cloth paper and artificial Christmas trees must be flame retardant.
Electric lights and electrical ornaments may not be used on any decorations (wreaths, trees, etc.). Remotely mounted flood lights may be used to illuminate trees.
Exits cannot be blocked or obstructed by any type of decoration.
Decorations cannot be placed near any heat source (radiators, electrical heaters, etc.)
Decorations cannot be hung within 18 inches of sprinkler heads.
Lighted candles or open flames cannot be used as decorations anywhere in the hospital.
