Pap Smear Evaluation Center

The Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center Pap Smear Evaluation Center provides comprehensive evaluation, management and consultative services for women with abnormal pap smears, cervical, vaginal and vulvar dysplasia or other precancerous changes of the lower genital tract. Colposcopy and other services are available at two locations: Brigham and Women's Hospital and Dana-Farber. Senior staffing at Brigham and Women's Center is provided by Drs. Berkowitz, Feldman, Garner and Goldstein, who oversee a clinic with resident and fellow involvement focusing on primary colposcopy for abnormal Pap smears from within the Brigham and Women's system or its outlying clinics. Women with complex medical issues whose care needs to be coordinated with other Brigham and Women's physicians are well served in this setting. Patients or physicians seeking consultation or second opinions regarding their management or their pathology results are well served by the Dana-Farber Cancer Center where comprehensive consultation and slide review are provided by Dr. Sarah Feldman in conjunction with the Department of Pathology at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Direct referrals to Dr. Feldman are also seen in this setting. Comprehensive treatment is available through both centers.
