Clinical Research
Many new treatments are currently being studied. Investigators at Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center work together with the North American Brain Tumor Consortium, National Cancer Institute, and pharmaceutical companies to develop new approaches to the treatment of brain and spinal cord tumors.
The Brain Tumor Laboratory
The Brain Tumor Laboratory is a unique environment for basic science researchers, medical students, international research fellows and neurosurgeons to take a multidisciplinary approach to understanding basic biology, and to develop new therapies to treat brain tumors. The current research focuses on the two types of tumors that together account for the vast majority of brain tumors: gliomas and meningiomas.
The Surgical Planning Lab
The Surgical Planning Lab is advancing the future of health care by bringing the power of computation and imaging to new areas of medicine. The lab collaborates with groups within Brigham and Women's Hospital, with other researchers at the Harvard Medical School, with local universities such as Harvard and MIT, and with gifted clinicians, researchers, and engineers throughout the world.
