We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting the 6th Triennial Brigham Cardiac Valve Symposium on October 23rd-24th, 2008. The symposium will be held at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston, MA. | | The Brigham Cardiac Valve Symposium is the premier postgraduate course offered by the Division of Cardiac Surgery, the Brigham Cardiac Valve Center, and the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine under the continuing medical education program of Harvard Medical School. This triennial symposium brings together leading cardiac surgeons and cardiologists who are experts in all aspects of valvular heart disease, both medical and surgical. Previous symposia have been held in 1993, 1996, 1999, 2002, and 2005. The topics are presented in an interactive atmosphere, comparing and contrasting medical and surgical alternatives to the same problem. The course also promotes discussion of controversial areas related to selection criteria, timing of valve surgery for young patients and adults, new technology in the field of valve surgery, and noninvasive interventional procedures. Attendees of these previously sold-out courses have included cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, and trainees of both specialties from all over the world. | To register or view course information, please visit http://cme.med.harvard.edu/index.asp?SECTION=CLASSES&ID=00281558.
