We offer different CPE units throughout the year. Below is general information about each unit and whether or not applications are still being accepted for the upcoming unit.
Extended Unit (Academic Year): Level 1 and Level 2 CPE students are considered for this unit. The time commitment is fourteen hours a week, plus one on-call overnight shift a month. This unit comprises 400 hours of educational components and patient pastoral visiting.

Intensive Unit (Summer): Level 1 and Level 2 CPE students are considered for this ten-week unit. The time commitment is forty hours a week, including seven on-call overnight shifts. This unit comprises 400 hours of educational components and patient pastoral visiting.
- Offered from the end of May to the end of August

offered from the BWH Perks Office - Tuition: $800
- Application Fee: $75 (If applying to the Summer Unit at both BWH and MGH, please send an application fee of $37.50 to each respective site. If only applying to one site, the application fee is $75).

Residency Unit (Academic Year): The residency program offers three CPE units over the academic year. This nine month program requires residents to do forty hours a week, which includes one overnight on-call each week and class time. Residents are also eligible for Benefit time and have breaks scheduled in between each unit.
Applicants must have completed one unit of CPE prior to applying for residency.
- Offered from the beginning of September to the end of May
- Benefits include: health and dental insurance for self and family
- Tuition: $200 (per unit)
- Application Fee: $75
- Stipend: $ 19,462
