Thank you for your interest in Brigham and Women's Hospital's Field Education Program. Our BWH Field Education program runs during the academic year and is for graduate students preparing for ministry. Our 2007-2008 BWH Field Education Supervisors are Katherine Mitchell and Arthur Judge.
Prerequisites
- Openness to learning with others in a clinical setting.
- Openness to ministering to persons from a variety of religious and cultural traditions.
- Commitment to developing one's pastoral identity.
- Previous or concurrent participation in graduate ministerial studies.
- Previous or concurrent course work in pastoral care is helpful, but not required.
Time Commitments
- Weekly Group Meetings
- 8 hours per week of visiting patients
- 1/2 hour per week of Supervision
- 5 overnights/on-call with a Staff Chaplain
