The Student Success Jobs Program (SSJP) is a year-round internship program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital designed to introduce 45 Boston high school students to medical and science professions. Students are matched with health care professionals who provide mentoring and serve as role models.
SSJP partners with six Boston public high schools and The Boston Private Industry Council (PIC) to recruit students from the follow schools: Boston Latin Academy, Health Careers Academy, John D. O'Bryant School of Math And Science, Madison Park Vocational and Technical High School, New Mission High School and Parkway Academy of Technology and Health.
Opportunities are provided for students to embark on the college application and selection process and to develop relationships with peers with similar goals. SSJP helps students have a successful high school experience and assists them in the transition to college.
