Visitors may wait in the Day Surgery Family Waiting Room. Day Surgery staff are available to update your visitors about your progress while they wait for you in a comfortable setting. Once your surgery is over, Day Surgery staff will inform your visitors when they can visit you. A visit with a family or friend will be arranged when you have completed the initial phase of your recovery from anesthesia. Your visitors may not be called in to see you until one to two hours after you are transferred to the Recovery Area.
