Mass General Rehabilitation Services are an integral part of the Brigham and Women’s / Mass General Health Care Center at Foxborough. Our multi-disciplinary staff, comprised of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, nurses, and athletic trainers, is committed to working closely with our patients to return them to the highest level of activity possible after injury or illness. The Rehabilitation Service will develop collaborative programs with physicians who practice at the Center for areas of identified patient need.
We are committed to active involvement in the communities we serve to enhance and promote health and wellness in conjunction with all physicians and medical specialties associated with the Center. We accept referrals and work closely with all physicians, inside and outside of the Center, and community at large, to provide the finest rehabilitation programs possible for our patients.
Rehabilitation Programs:
Musculoskeletal Injuries – Development of individualized pre-operative, post-operative, and non-operative rehabilitation and conditioning
Hand Rehabilitation – Development of individualized pre-operative, post-operative, and non-operative programs; Static and dynamic splinting
Neurological and Vestibular Disorders – Development of individualized rehabilitation programs for mild neurological and vestibular injuries and conditions. For conditions that are beyond the scope of services offered at The Center, referral to other rehabilitation specialists within the Partners Health Care System will be facilitated.
Women’s Health – Development of a collaborative program with primary care physicians and specialists for identified concerns such as pre/post partum exercise, osteoporosis and incontinence
Cardiac Rehabilitation – Development and implementation of Phase II and III classes
Pulmonary Rehabilitation – Development and implementation of individualized and group programs
Foot Orthotics – Casting and provision of custom foot orthotics
Community Outreach and Education Programs:
Executive Health – Individualized and group fitness profiles, training and education
Performance Enhancement – Evaluation, consultation, and performance enhancement recommendations for athletes of all levels
Research – Collegial research and data collection in association with the research program advanced by all members of the health care team at The Center
