BWF 2006 Hospitalist Awards
The charge of the Awards Committee (Dr. David Bates, Dr. Sylvia McKean, Lance Rachelefsky, and Dr. Allen Smith) is to recognize individual members who have exceeded performance expectations for the BWF Hospitalist Service by establishing a process for identifying hospitalists who merit awards, developing award criteria and ensuring that the process is fair. For these awards, feedback was solicited from multiple sources including physician leaders at BWH and FH, members of the BWF Hospitalist Service, and from trainees including the current chief medical residents.
BWF Hospitalist Service Excellence in Teaching Award
in recognition of outstanding teaching in hospital medicine was awarded to:
Niteesh Choudhry, M.D.
BWF Hospitalist Service Key Contribution Award
in recognition of innovation, excellence, teamwork, and clinical service
in the field of hospital medicine was awarded to:
Christopher Roy, M.D.
Next year there will also be a BWF Hospitalist Service Physician Assistant Award in recognition of outstanding clinical service and teamwork in the field of hospital medicine.
