Safon Lecture

Dr. Ecker, Mrs. Safon & Dr. Barbieri

The Leonard E. Safon, MD Lectureship in Clinical Obstetrics recognizes the outstanding contributions Dr. Safon has made to the many physicians he has trained, to the patients for whom he has cared, and to the institution he has generously served for more than forty years.  This event is held annually in June.  The 2009 guest lecturer was Dr. Jeffrey Ecker from Massaschuetts General Hospital and his lecture was entitled: Can a Doctor Just Say, "No:" Limits of Conscientious Objection in Reproductive Medicine.
