Scott D. Martin, MD
Dr. Martin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery. He completed his residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York Hospital, and Cornell University Medical Center. He treats sports medicine injuries and shoulder injuries and performs joint replacement surgery of the shoulder, knee, and hip and arthroscopic surgery of the elbow, shoulder, knee, and hip. Dr. Martin also specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the elbow including complex ligamentous surgery of the elbow and very few surgeons perform this complex procedure.
Dr. Martin completed two Fellowships:
- Total Joint Arthroplasty in the Department Orthopedic Surgery at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA
- Sports Medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Alabama.
He is the team physician for Wellesley College, Wheelock College, Bridgewater State College, and the New England Revolution Professional Soccer team. He is also a consultant for the following teams:
- Toronto Blue Jays, Major League Baseball Team
- World Hockey League
- National Hockey League
Dr. Martin has been named one of the top 100 doctors by Boston Magazine numerous times and has received the prestigious Golden Apple Teaching Award
