The Department of Pathology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, a Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospital, provides diagnostic services for inpatients and outpatients seen at this hospital and other healthcare institutions. Our highly-trained physicians, technologists, and support staff provide the most modern techniques to make an accurate diagnosis on your biopsy, Pap smear, aspiration cytology, or any specimen sent to the laboratory. Many of our staff conduct important basic and applied research, and we are actively involved in teaching the next generation of doctors the skills they will need to understand disease and treat patients. We are proud to serve clinicians and their patients in their need for an accurate and informative diagnosis.
