Primary research interests:
My primary research interest is the identification of novel biomarkers for prediction of diabetes and peripheral vascular disease in otherwise healthy populations. A central mechanism for the link between these disorders is insulin resistance, which has become a more recent interest of mine as it relates to the metabolic syndrome, inflammation, and other traditional cardiovascular risk factors.
