MR Fellowships
The Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, is offering NIH supported, two-year postdoctoral MR Fellowships in Image-Guided Therapy. Clinical track trainees (MDs) must have completed their training in various clinical specialties, as well as in subspecialties such as neuroradiology, interventional radiology, neurosurgery, and breast surgery. Basic science track trainees (PhDs) must demonstrate strong evidence of interest in biomedical engineering and/or computer science and successful completion of a graduate program in a related field. All trainees will share in a common core curriculum and will be offered "hands-on" experience in each field of Image-Guided Therapy including MR Body Imaging, Cross-sectional Interventional Radiology, Clinical Neuroradiology, Neurosurgery, Radiation Oncology, and Musculoskeletal Imaging. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team of physicians and scientists, all trainees will become proficient in collaborative research as well as the principles of computer science and bioengineering. Fellows will also have an opportunity to share in and benefit from The Center for Integrated Medicine and Innovative Technology (CIMIT), a broad-based coalition of scientists drawn from the Harvard Medical School community, its teaching hospitals, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and private industry.
Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents of the United States. They must be ABR-eligible or ABR-certified and must have or obtain a Massachusetts medical license. Brigham and Women's Hospital is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer. Minority applicants are encouraged to apply.
