The Neurosciences Research Center at the BWH Biomedical Research Institute (BRI) brings together researchers from the Departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, Radiology, Pathology, Anesthesiology and Medicine to pursue breakthroughs in the treatment, prediction and prevention of brain disorders such as multiple sclerosis, tumors, stroke, epilepsy, psychiatric illnesses, and Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases.
While each department maintains its individual expertise, the BWH-BRI Neurosciences Research Center seeks to enhance scientific communication, encourage formal and informal collaborations and improve research infrastructure to benefit all those studying the nervous system and its disorders at the molecular, cellular, anatomical, translational and functional levels. The Center’s collaborative nature promotes the discovery of new treatments and speeds them from the laboratory bench to the patient’s bedside. More>>
