The Center for Surgery and Public Health (CSPH) was established in 2005 in collaboration with Harvard Medical School (HMS) and Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) to bridge the alarming gap that divides public health and surgical quality, safety, and access. Since that time, CSPH has been widely recognized nationally and internationally for our surgical health services and implementation research activities, global health program, and resources dedicated to training the next generation of surgical leaders.
Mission
To advance the science of surgical care delivery by studying effectiveness, quality, equity, and value at the population level; by improving surgical education; and by developing surgeon-scientists committed to excellence in these areas.
Goals
