Site Visit

The Center of Evidenced-Based Imaging (CEBI) is dedicated to improve the quality and efficiency of the care delivery of imaging using innovative information technology solutions, including knowledge delivery in real time, and at the point of care to reduce medical errors.

The Center uses innovative data management, knowledge delivery, and storage solutions, available through the Enterprise Radiology Portal, to leverage the content of massive multi-disciplinary databases at Partners HealthCare System to develop and deliver knowledge in real-time using various data-mining strategies.

Protocol and Cost for Site Visits

The Center for Evidenced-Based Imaging is available on most days (with the exception of Tuesdays), morning or afternoon, and charges an appropriate fee for each 3-hour site visit. Longer visits may be arranged through the CEBI Director of Operations. Requests for visits should be made at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure staff and clinic area availability. During the visit the invited guest(s) will be provided with the following resources:

1. Conference Room
2. Standard Agenda (see below)
3. Access to Professional Staff (see below)
4. Area for personal articles
5. PC w/ Internet Access
6. Projector
7. Breakfast or Lunch (depending on time of visit)

During the scheduled visit, the invited guest(s) will have access to one or more of the following BWH, CEBI or PHS staff members, or their designee:

Agenda

CEBI will provide a standard agenda for each site visit. Any deviation from this agenda must be discussed with the CEBI, Director of Operations in advance. The above-mentioned professional staff will be available for all or part of the following agenda activities:

• Introduction to the Center
• On site Demo in conference room (if applicable)
• One clinic tour or Data Center Tour*
• Wrap-up/ Questions and Answers
• Dismissal

*Clinic and Data Center tours must be requested in advance to ensure access and availability.

• All site visit requests from will be processed through the Center of Evidenced-Based Imaging (CEBI).
• All groups must fill out an initial  Encounter Form, available for download (PDF) or provided via email Besaida Rosado. Forms must indicate a proposed date of visit.
• Encounter form must be emailed or faxed to Besaida Rosado (brosado@partners.org); fax 617-732-6251.
• Once form is received a decision will be made and confirmation sent to assigned group representative.
