Garrett Fitzmaurice, DSc, earned his DSc in Biostatistics from Harvard University in 1993. Dr. Fitzmaurice is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at Harvard School of Public Health, an Associate Professor of Medicine (Biostatistics) at Harvard Medical School, and serves as a Senior Biostatitician in the Division of General Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Dr. Fitzmaurice’s research interests lie in the design and analysis of longitudinal and repeated measures studies and methods for handling missing data. He has also developed a strong interest in collaborative research with the medical community at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. He is currently working with investigators from the Divisions of General Medicine, Social Medicine & Health Inequalities, and Women's Health. Finally, Dr. Fitzmaurice teaches in the Program in Clinical Effectiveness, a joint program of Brigham and Women's Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School & Harvard School of Public Health. The program is designed for young physicians seeking the quantitative and analytic skills needed for clinical research.
