 | Jonathan Keith Joseph, MD, is an authority on tuberculosis. Board certified in Adult Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, his expertise in pediatric multidrug-resistant tuberculosis has facilitated policy changes that eliminate unnecessary and inappropriate delays in treatment, thus decreasing morbidity and mortality among children. Dr. Joseph completed an infectious disease fellowship at Columbia University and returned to Brigham and Women's Hospital full-time in 2006. While at Columbia, he was closely involved in a major project to scale up HIV / AIDS treatment on the border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic. In this capacity, he brought to bear his extensive experience in rural Haiti, where he developed a network of Partners In Health treatment sites across the Central Plateau. In 2007, Dr. Joseph lead the launch of a new Partners In Health / Brigham and Women's healthcare project in Malawi. |
