The Chiefs Service
This Service is so designated for the Chief of Surgery, Dr. Michael Zinner. The surgeons on this service are Colorectal Surgeons and GI Surgeons. Several perform some general surgery as well. The faculty includes Drs. Zinner, Ronald Bleday, Elizabeth Breen, Joel Goldberg, and David Soybel.
The Cushing Service
Named after the first Surgeon-in-Chief, Harvey Cushing, this Service is a mix of clinical problems including general surgery, vascular surgery, and trauma. Patients are referred from the emergency department and from other services within the hospital. Burn patients are on a separate service, but the Cushing Service assists in their care. The following faculty members operate on this service: Drs. Jonathan Gates, David Jacobsen, Edward Kelly, Selwyn Rogers, Jr., Mandeep Saund, James Watkins, and Edward Whang.
The Cutler Service
The Service honors the second Surgeon-in-Chief, Elliott Carr Cutler. The surgeons on this service represent gastrointestinal and general surgery. Faculty includes Drs. Stanley Ashley, David Brooks, David Lautz, Malcolmn Robinson, Brent Shoji, and Ashley Vernon.
The Mannick Service
The Service honors the most recent Surgeon-in-Chief Emeritus, Dr. John A. Mannick. The surgeons on this service represent vascular surgery. HPHC surgeons bring in a broad spectrum of cases in general surgery to balance the clinical experience. Faculty includes Drs. Michael Belkin, Michael Conte, Edwin Gravereaux, Matthew Menard, and Louis Nguyen.
The Moore Service
The Service honors the Surgeon-in-Chief Emeritus, Dr. Francis D. Moore, Sr.. The surgeons on this service represent surgical oncology. Faculty includes Drs. Monica Bertagnolli, Katharine Carter, Roger Christian, Thomas Clancy,Atul Gawande, Mehra Golshan, J. Dirk Iglehart, Julie Jones,Beth-Ann Lesnikoski, Francis D. Moore, Jr., Robert Osteen, Chandrajit Raut, Esther Rhei, Richard Swanson, and Katherina Zabicki.
Thoracic Surgery
The surgeons on this service represent general thoracic surgery and thoracic oncology. Clinical experience is focused on non-cardiac diseases in the chest. The faculty include Drs. Raphael Bueno, Michael Chang, Yolonda Colson, Christopher Ducko,Michael Jaklitsch, Philip Linden, Jeanne Lukanich, Steven Mentzer, David Sugarbaker, and Lambros Zellos.
Faulkner Hospital

West Roxbury VA Medical Center
