Thanks to a philanthropic gift of $50,000, the BWH Biomedical Research Institute instituted a multi-year Research Accelerator Program to recognize graduate and postdoctoral fellows as well as non-physician scientists whose research is deemed to be most promising and innovative. Recipients of the programâ€™s Research Excellence Awards receive a $1,000 grant to use for scientific conference travel or for research expenses.
