SSJP is offered to 90 high school students from our seven partnering schools. Students that are accepted are interested in pursuing a science, medical, research, or health career. Students in the program are ambitious, mature, focused and want to learn!
Students don't have to get straight A's in their classes in order to be accepted to SSJP, but they do need to take their academic success very seriously. Being an SSJP student is a big commitment. If a student is involved in sports, school committees and clubs or community activities, they might not have enough time to commit to SSJP. Students who apply to the program are encouraged to be realistic about their schedule, academic workload and current activity involvement.
Sophomore and Juniors who attend the following high schools are eligible to apply for SSJP:
Boston Latin Academy
Community Academy of Science and Health
Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers
Fenway High School
John D. O'Bryant School of Math and Science
Madison Park Technical and Vocational High School
New Mission High School
If you have any questions about the application process, please contact the PIC Career Specialist at our partnering schools.
