Samantha Rowley, Vice President of Perioperative Services

Samantha Rowley

Samantha Rowley serves as vice president of Perioperative Services. In this role, Rowley oversees all operations related to surgical care, including administrative and strategic leadership, operating results and financial performance. A dynamic health care leader, Rowley joined the Brigham in 2021 and brings more than 20 years of professional experience and academic training in mission-driven health care systems to her current role.

In her work in Perioperative Services, Rowley seeks to integrate policies and procedures that optimize functions to enhance the experience of staff and patients.

Throughout her career, Rowley has garnered extensive experience in patient care and health care management. Before joining the Brigham, Rowley was senior vice president for Surgical and Critical Care Services at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, where she also served as the system clinical lead and inpatient leader for Parkland’s COVID-19 response effort. Prior to that role, she was executive director of Perioperative Services at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C., and director of Perioperative and CRNA Services at University of Miami Hospital. Earlier in her career, Rowley worked as a registered nurse in the Critical Care Unit of St. Francis Hospital in Delaware and then as a certified registered nurse anesthetist at University of Miami Hospital in Miami.

Rowley earned a master's degree in nurse anesthesia from the University of Miami, a bachelor's degree in nursing from Wilmington College and an associate degree in nursing from Delaware Technical & Community College.
