iHub Included on 50 Hospitals With Innovation Programs List

Brigham Innovation Hub (iHub) has been recognized on Becker's Hospital Review's "50 Hospitals with Innovation Programs 2016" list.

The hospitals and health systems on the list are among those that have committed to keeping up with, or getting ahead of, the pace of change in health care by forming dedicated centers and institutes for innovation. Research and development coming from the recognized innovation programs range from technological, including medical devices, diagnostics and mobile health platforms, to clinical workflows and process improvements.

iHub launched in September 2013 as a resource center for innovators at BWH to advance their ideas for improving care. Since then, iHub has evolved into a broader digital health consulting team, supporting internal innovation and bringing in leading-edge digital approaches to create the hospital of the future. Programs and infrastructure enable all members of the hospital community to engage, from medical residents to staff in information technology to human resources. iHub also brings together key players in the Boston health care ecosystem and beyond, through collaborations with organizations such as Microsoft, Evidation Health, Harvard Business School and Rock Health.

Becker's Hospital Review is a monthly publication offering business and legal news and analysis relating to hospitals and health systems.
