Meryl LeBoff, MD, founding director of the Skeletal Health and Osteoporosis Center and Bone Density Unit and chief of the Calcium and Bone Section in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Hypertension, was selected as the recipient of the Brigham and Women’s Physicians Organization (BWPO) James S. Winshall Leadership Award. This award, given annually, honors individuals who demonstrate exceptional clinical leadership in new or existing programs.
The award is named in memory of James Winshall, MD, an accomplished physician, talented writer and compassionate caretaker who embodied the spirit of team leadership at BWH.
LeBoff was recognized for her leadership in continually supporting and advancing inpatient and outpatient initiatives that enhance the clinical experience of patients in the Skeletal Health and Osteoporosis Center and Bone Density Unit.
