Elizabeth Ginsburg

Elizabeth Ginsburg, MD, medical director of the In Vitro Fertilization program in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, received the William Silen Lifetime Achievement Excellence in Mentoring Award from the Office for Diversity Inclusion and Community Partnership (DICP) at Harvard Medical School (HMS). Ginsburg was nominated by an HMS colleague and mentee.

The Excellence in Mentoring Awards were established to recognize the value of quality mentoring relationships and the impact they have on professional development and career advancement in basic/clinical medicine, research, teaching, and administration.

The Lifetime Excellence in Mentoring Award was established in 1997; in 2001, it was renamed the William Silen Lifetime Achievement in Mentoring Award. This distinction was made to honor and acknowledge the lifetime commitment that William Silen, MD, made to mentoring students, residents and faculty.

The mission of the Office for Diversity Inclusion and Community Partnership is to advance diversity and inclusion in health, biomedical, behavioral and STEM fields by building individual and institutional capacity to achieve excellence, foster innovation and ensure equity in health locally, nationally and globally.
