Artzi Wins Kabiller Rising Star Award in Nanomedicine and Nanotechnology

Natalie Artzi, PhD

Natalie Artzi, PhD, of the Department of Medicine, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, received the Kabiller Rising Star Award in Nanomedicine and Nanotechnology from the International Institute for Nanotechnology at Northwestern University.

This award recognizes her pioneering work at the intersection of biomaterials science, biology and medicine, examining the interactions between biomedical materials and tissues. Her innovations inform the design of materials and the selection of combination therapies that maximize therapeutic outcomes.

Artzi’s research generally focuses on developing tissue-responsive nanomaterials for biomedical applications to improve human health. Her lab develops smart material platforms that sense environmental signals and enhance tissue repair.
