Amin Aalipour, MD, PhD, of the Internal Medicine Residency, was named a Forbes 30 Under 30 in Science for co-inventing four cancer-related biomarkers and improving early detection of cancers. Each year, Forbes Magazine curates lists of notable young professionals that demonstrate promise in their chosen industry. Forbes ranks 600 individuals across 20 industries for outstanding entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation.
Aalipour’s research has worked to address the limitations of endogenous biomarkers, to improve biomarker visibility in early stages of disease and to develop cancer-attacking viruses to treat various tumor types. As a resident physician, Aalipour’s broader clinical interests include hematology, oncology, immunoengineering, cancer immunotherapy and early detection of cancers.
