Sax Named Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Infectious Diseases

Paul Sax, MD, FIDSA

Paul Sax, MD, FIDSA, of the Division of Infectious Diseases, has been named the next Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Infectious Diseases (CID) by the Infectious Diseases Society of America. CID is a leading journal in the field of infectious disease with a broad international readership.

Sax is an internationally recognized clinician and educator in infectious diseases. His research interests included clinical trials of antiretroviral therapies, the toxicity of antiretroviral therapies and the cost-effectiveness of strategies for HIV management.

Sax is also the clinical director of the Division of Infectious Diseases, the Bruce A. Beal and Robert L. Beal Distinguished Chair in Infectious Diseases, and a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is currently the founding editor of IDSA’s open access journal, Open Forum Infectious Diseases, which was launched in 2014, and the writer of the regular column for NEJM Journal Watch called HIV and ID Observations
