Sperling Wins Clinical Trials on Alzheimer's Disease Congress' Lifetime Achievement Award in Alzheimer's Disease Therapeutic Research

Reisa Anne Sperling, MD, MMSc, director of the Center for Alzheimer Research and Treatment, won a Lifetime Achievement Award in Alzheimer’s Disease Therapeutic Research from the Clinical Trials on Alzheimer’s Disease Congress (CTAD).

This honor recognizes outstanding contributions to the advancement of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) clinical trials research. Sperling will be presented the award during the CTAD meeting, which will take place from Nov. 29 to Dec. 2 in San Francisco.

Sperling focuses her research on the detection and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, especially at its presymptomatic or “preclinical” stage. She was elected to the National Academy of Medicine in 2021 and is co-principal investigator of the Harvard Aging Brain Study and the National Institutes of Health-funded Alzheimer’s Clinical Trial Consortium.

The CTAD meeting is convened with the mission of bringing together global leaders in AD treatment to discuss research, candidate therapeutics and methodological issues important to the timely development of the next generation of AD treatments.
