James A. Brink, MD, FACR, chair of Radiology at the Brigham and chief of Enterprise Radiology for Mass General Brigham, was named a 2023 Gold Medalist by the American College of Radiology (ACR), the college’s highest honor.
The ACR Gold Medal is awarded by the Board of Chancellors to an individual for extraordinary contributions to the field of radiology and outstanding service to the ACR. Brink, a past chair of the ACR Board of Chancellors and past ACR president, was one of three honorees selected this year.
Brink focuses on the critical role radiology plays in advancing quality care at an affordable cost. He champions radiology as a specialty that uses technological innovation in medical imaging to improve public health.
