Eligibility Requirements
- This program is for rising high school juniors and seniors, and 2022 high school graduates only.
- You must be able to attend every Tuesday session from July 5th-August 30th, 2022
- You must have the appropriate technology to participate in this program (computer, web camera, internet access for Zoom capabilities).
Your application will be disregarded if you are unable to fulfill all three of these requirements. Please note that there will be no exceptions to this.
Program Details
This series will be an interactive, webinar-style virtual experience, featuring a guest speaker from various areas of the hospital each week, meant to give participants an exploratory glimpse and well-rounded perspective of careers in a healthcare setting. The program will be 9 weeks in length with a 2-hour session (speaker for 1st hour, reflection/discussion for 2nd hour), with a kick-off and finale session included. We will host seven guest speakers/panels in total.
With the current restrictions in place for in-person volunteering due to COVID-19, this program will provide a supplementary virtual experience and give participants a chance to learn from and interact with BWH professionals, as well as an opportunity to connect with other peers in the community that are interested in a similar career path. All participants will receive a certificate of completion at culmination of program.
