In-Training Exam (ITE): The Clinical Competency Committee is responsible for ensuring that residents progress through their training. Residents sit for the annual ABA-ASA In-Training Exam (ITE) each Spring.
AKT: The department administers the Anesthesia Knowledge Test (AKT) at various points during training (AKT-1, AKT-6, AKT-24) to provide residents with a standardized benchmark of their progress. An educational mentor is assigned to each resident to guide their training, consider different career paths as well as to maintain an Individualized Learning Plan.
Mock Oral Board Review: Mock oral board sessions are held throughout the year to help the residents prepare while also enhancing their lifelong learning.
