ITE, AKT and Mock Oral Board Review

In-Training Exam (ITE): The Clinical Competency Committee is responsible for ensuring that residents progress through their training. Residents sit for the annual ABA-ASA In-Training Exam (ITE) each Spring.

AKT: The department administers the Anesthesia Knowledge Test (AKT) at various points during training (AKT-1, AKT-6, AKT-24) to provide residents with a standardized benchmark of their progress. An educational mentor is assigned to each resident to guide their training, consider different career paths as well as to maintain an Individualized Learning Plan.

Mock Oral Board Review: Mock oral board and board reviews are held monthly to help the residents prepare for the boards which is taken at the end of their training.
