What to Expect

When you reach out to schedule an appointment, we’ll ask you for the following information:

• Brief explanation of your medical condition with accompanying medical records when available
• Preferred appointment date
• Insurance information (if applicable)
• Interpreter needs

We recognize that being away from home can be challenging. When you come to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, we can arrange your appointments, tests, consultations and treatment into a short period of time, depending on your condition. This will help you return home faster, save on expenses and allow you to make the best possible use of your time away from home.

Please be able to provide patient information such as diagnosis, reason for referral, any existing medical records, as well as previous physician visit notes.
