Department of Dermatology Research

Clinical Research Program

The Clinical Research Program is designed to improve our understanding and care of patients with dermatologic disease and to provide an unparalleled environment for collaborative, clinical/translational research that supports the academic growth of our clinical faculty. Projects have changed the paradigm of dermatologic care, establishing new staging systems in nonmelanoma skin cancer, analyzing cost effectiveness of various treatments, and developing novel clinical assessment tools and patient reported outcome measures.

The Program provides education, shared core support resources, mentorship and faculty development, group project review / feedback, and facilitates internal and external collaboration (with basic science groups, other groups using novel methodologies in clinical science and cross-disciplinary efforts with other BWH departments).
