Pediatric Dermatology Program

The Pediatric Dermatology Program provides specialized care in the management of neonatal, childhood and adolescent conditions of the skin, scalp, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. Managed disorders will encompass acquired and congenital disorders, including both acute and chronic conditions. Our Program offers individualized expert care for young children and adolescents with the following conditions:

  • Acne and hidradenitis suppurativa
  • Alopecia areata and other forms of hair loss
  • Atopic dermatitis
  • Birthmarks
  • Disorders of pigmentation, including vitiligo
  • Fungal disease
  • Inherited disorders, including ichthyoses and blistering diseases
  • Pigmented lesions/moles
  • Psoriasis
  • Vascular lesions
  • Warts and molluscum contagiosum

An adolescent focused clinic at the Department of Dermatology’s main campus in Boston offers comprehensive dermatologic care specific to teenagers (ages 15 and older). The clinic provides a particular focus on adolescent conditions including severe acne, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and other inflammatory disease of the skin.
