Our Urology program at Mass General Brigham Healthcare Center (20 Patriot Place, Foxborough) provides diagnosis, treatment, and management for a wide spectrum of urologic conditions, including urologic cancers, benign urologic diseases, and urologic dysfunction. The following services are among the many urologic procedures that we offer at our Foxborough location:

  • diagnostic cystoscopy (cysto) – endoscopic examination of the urethra
  • retrograde pyelogram – imaging of the ureter and kidney
  • transurethral resection of bladder tumor – surgical procedure used to diagnose bladder cancer or remove cancerous tissue
  • cold knife urethrotomy – to treat narrowing of the urethra
  • bladder stone removal
  • fulguration – destroying bladder tumors with high-frequency electric current
  • bladder biopsy
  • ureteroscopy – endoscopic removal of kidney stones
  • chemotherapy and formalin instillation (used to treat effects of chemo)
  • laser lithotripsy – disintegrating kidney stones with a laser
  • electrohydraulic lithotripsy (EHL) – pulverizing kidney stones through shock waves
  • urethral or bladder neck contracture dilation

  • suprapubic tube (catheter) change
  • ureteral stent placement and removal
  • prostate needle biopsy
  • varicocelectomy – surgical correction of dilated veins in the spermatic cord
  • hydrocelectomy – surgical procedure to relieve scrotal swelling

  • testicular biopsy
  • orchiectomy – surgical removal of the testicle to diagnose or treat cancer
  • SPARC™ procedures – minimally invasive treatment for incontinence in women
