Brigham and Women’s Harbor Medical Associates – Endoscopy

The South Shore Endoscopy Center (SSEC) opened in 1997 by prominent gastroenterologists whose philosophy and dedication to patient care led them to create the first ambulatory endoscopy center in Massachusetts. Patients of SSEC receive professional care from a team of physicians, nurses and medical technicians who are specially trained in all aspects of gastrointestinal disorders.

SSEC conducts gastrointestinal (GI) procedures that do not require hospitalization for medical or surgical treatment. Our goal is to provide the best possible care in safe, convenient, and comfortable surroundings. We provide individual care to each patient. From admitting to recovery, the same team of health care professionals oversees his or her brief stay at SSEC.

We understand that patient care includes concerned family members. Our team is always available to answer questions that both the patient and family members may have.

We believe that education is very important in the care of patients. Our team is always up to date with new techniques and research that is available for gastrointestinal diseases.

Take Rte. 3 north to Exit 17, Union Street Braintree. Proceed around rotary under Rt.3 and then bear right onto Union Street. At the second set of lights, take a right onto Washington Street. South Shore Endoscopy Center is 1/10th mile on the left.
