Linda Joy Pollin Women’s Heart Center Services

One in five women is affected by heart disease and the incidence rises as women age. Because cardiovascular diseases in women can be prevented, it’s important that women have an expert cardiac resource. At the Linda Joy Pollin Women’s Heart Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), our team of cardiologists provides cardiac care exclusively to women through a multi-focused approach that includes personalized risk assessment, diagnostic testing and treatment, disease education and lifestyle management. Our research is devoted exclusively to female-pattern cardiac disease, leading the way to new approaches in female cardiac care.

The Linda Joy Pollin Women’s Heart Center has provided awareness and prevention programs as well as cardiology services for all conditions, from the common to the complex. The Center provides convenient access to state-of-the-art testing and surgical services, through the Heart and Vascular Center. In addition to its board-certified, fellowship-trained cardiologists, our multidisciplinary team includes physician specialists, surgeons, nurses, nutritionists, exercise physiologists, psychologists and pharmacists who are dedicated to helping women live heart-healthy lives.

Among our services are the Linda Joy Pollin Women's Heart Center Wellness Program and the Clinical Cardiology Program at the Heart and Vascular Center, both focused on heart disease prevention. Extensive Community Programming offers collaborative outreach to neighboring communities. Employees at BWH receive specialized heart health attention through the Employee Wellness Program. Our Heart Disease Prevention Research Program conducts research studies to expand understanding of cardiac disease prevention and treatment for women.
